Pictures of Kaylee

On July 30th for Kaylee's Activity Days they had a mother/daughter activity.  It was focused on being worthy to get married in the temple.  The mothers helped them make some crafts and then did their hair and a little bit of makeup so that they get their pictures taken in some wedding dresses.  We then had lunch and had an awesome couple in our ward, the Crabtree's, talk about their experience of getting married in the temple.  It was a wonderful day and the girls had a great time.  Thank you Sis. Taylor and Sis. Phelps.

Shelby's 14!

Can you believe it?  Our baby's 14 and going into 9th grade!!!  Since she's getting older that means that she's harder to buy presents for.

She of course had to have a giant Hershey bar since those are her favorites

Then she got a book to a series that she has been reading (but come to find out it was the wrong one...I missed the second book and got her the third...oops!)

She has been asking for a cell phone for YEARS but this year with her being an officer at school we decided that it was time.  I think this TOTALLY made her birthday!

Something else she has been asking for is a Facebook account.  We have been leery about this because so much can happen but we decided as long as I was friends with her and could see what was going on that it would all right.  She was excited about this one as well.



Instead of a birthday cake she wanted open-faced cream puff for dessert.  Our whole family was happy about that one!

Make a wish!

A couple of weeks later was her birthday party.  She wanted to have a murder mystery party.  It turned out great but was A LOT of work.

This is a picture of Hannah (Shelby's best friend) jumping up and down because she was so excited for Shelby to open her present!

Knoll's 6-8-12 (Knolls)

On June 8th we went four-wheeling with some friends of Curt's from work.  We camped out over night and had a great time riding the next day.  As in other rides that we've taken out to the Knolls we rode out to the old jet fuel tank but came to find that someone had tipped it over.  We were very disappointed that someone would do that and ruin everybody's fun but we still had a good time and even wrote our names on the tank.  Austin even rode a bigger four-wheeler and, just like his dad, couldn't get enough of it!  We had a great time!

Kaylee's Field Trip

Before school ended this year Kaylee had her field trip to This is the Place Park.  They talked to a mountain man, learned how to dance like pioneers and pulled handcarts.  I liked the handcarts especially since last year Curt and I went on Trek.  She had a great time but it was very hot!!!

Shelby's SBO

So Shelby made SBO Historian for her 9th grade year.  This is her in her student government sweater.  It's going to be a busy year but a fun one for her!!
