Shelby's First and Only Track Meet

So Shelby decided to join track this year.  She chose to do sprints and run the 100m.  She ran in only one track meet but did a great job.  We love you Shelby!

Bird Refuge in Layton

Today was General Conference and in between sessions we wanted to get out a little bit.  So we went to the bird refuge in Layton just to walk around and to take some fun family pictures.  Austin was hamming it up at the beginning!

There's a big gazebo-like thing in the center that the kids had a great time climbing on and made for some pictures as well.

 It was a fun time and the weather was perfect for a nice family outing!

What were you thinking?

So I go down to check on Kaylee before I go to bed and she wasn't in her bed.  After looking around this is what I found!  Needless to say she couldn't walk very well because her legs were asleep when I had her wake up to get in her "REAL" bed!  Crazy girl!!!

April Four-Wheeling

On April 4th, 2013 we decided to take the family out to have a little fun on the four-wheelers.  We wanted to go see the Spiral Jetty up by Promontory Point.  Curt had been there before for an arts class in college but none of the rest of us had ever seen it.  I have to say we had a lot of fun and it was really neat seeing the sights out there.  Kaylee didn't want to come so we brought along Shelby's friend Lyndsi (Lou).  She was so excited to go and we all had a great time!

We had fun playing on the rocks.  Below is some "sea foam" from the water.  It was different to see.

We thought the sand was really odd.  It was little balls instead of little flakes like normal sand that we've seen.  Fun to experience!

Time to head home?  No...let's play some more!

We hiked to the top of the hill to see everything from a different perspective!
