As per tradition we had Christmas Eve over at Bev and Steve's house. We had pizza and fondue for dessert. Look at all that yummy fruit!
We had a white elephant gift exchange and this is what Carter got. AWESOME!!!
Then we did the Nativity. Carson was Joseph and Caitlyn was Mary.
Austin was a sheep, Kaylee was an angel and Shelby was a wiseman (woman). If you notice there's a big star...Porter was supposed to be the star but freaked out so Brian ended up doing it. HILARIOUS!!!
We got home after the party and did our own family tradition of watching the Nativity by Living Scriptures (cartoon) and then said family prayer and sent the kids to bed. That's when Curt and I wrap the presents. We told the kids that were not to get up until 7:00 but Carson did not think that applied to him. I heard him get out of his room at 2:00 a.m. He turned the bathroom light on and by the time I got out of bed he had hurried back to his room. Then about 15 - 20 minutes later he got out again. When I got out of my room he had again hurried back to his room but I knew what was going on. So I told him (while he's pretending to be asleep) that if he gets out of bed again I'm taking all his presents away. He said that he was so excited and wanted to make a stack of his presents. I went out and by the tree he had gone through all the presents and made a pile of just his. I had to rearrange them and put them back under the tree. What a stinker. Needless to say, I was kind of tired on Christmas morning.
This is the kids by the things that Santa left. If you notice Austin is not there. He was still asleep and we decided to let him sleep since it was going to be a long day.
Shelby got an iPod dock for her room.
Could get more surprised than this? Kaylee wanted a "Get Well Kit" for her doll. I guess Santa really delivered!
Carson got a 3DS game. That was very exciting for him because he didn't have a 3DS yet...so he was excited to see what was under the tree for him.
He also got an Etch-A-Sketch. He doesn't look that happy about it but he sure likes it at church.
Curt got some new shoes...YIPPEE!!!
I got a new scripture case. I love it!!!
The family gift was some new cordless phones since our other ones were broken. Shelby was very happy about this because now we could put one downstairs by their bedrooms!
We also got Kung Fu Panda 2.
Here is our tree with all the presents under it (and beside it!)
Finally, Austin woke up and he got Connect 4 from Santa. He loves games!
Curt had asked for a frame for his diploma. It turned out nice!
This is what Austin got. Notice the dart gun? It turned out to be a dart gun December. You'll see later on some more to do with the dart guns! He also got a remote control car, some PJs and snow pants. Too bad we haven't been able to use them too much this year. He also got some fruit snacks and suckers since all he wanted was presents and candy. I think we came through...so did Santa!
Here is what Carson got. His big thing was his 3DS. That's all he focused on. He was so excited! He also got a gumball machine bank, some pants, some PJs and 3DS stuff.
Shelby got her iPod dock, a Nook Color, some PJs, and other little stuff.
Curt got a mitre saw, some snow shoes, shoes, his diploma and a new part for his razor (yea!).
Kaylee got a lot for her doll that she got for her birthday. That's really all she asked for. So she got her "Get Well Kit", a bed, a bean bag, a camp fire kit, some PJs for her, some DS stuff, some texting things and other little things like socks.
I got a my scripture case, a new pillow, some perfume, some socks, some jeans and some shoes (yea!).
Merry Christmas!!!
