First Day of School

September 4th was the first day of school for all of the our kids.  Shelby left too early for me to get a picture of her so you'll just have to go from previous posts.  She starts the 9th grade and her final year before entering high school.  I can't believe that she is this big.  What happened to my baby girl?!!

 

Kaylee was kind of upset because not only is this the first day of school but also her birthday.  She thought that was a real bummer that she had to go to school on her birthday but she ended up okay with it since we took donuts for her class.  She is starting the 5th grade and just turned 11.  She is getting too big as well.

 

Carson is 8 and starting the 3rd grade but he is starting at Lakeside Elementary since he made it into the Spectrum program which is like the gifted program.  He is so smart...sometimes a little too smart for his own good.  So that was a little tricky for us to figure out how to get both kids to two different schools that started at the same time but we've got it all worked out now.

 

Then there's our baby, Austin.  He hates it when I call him our "baby".  He informs us that he's a big boy now and not a baby.  He started pre-school.  He is 3 and usually we don't start our kids in pre-school until the year before they go to kindergarten but he had been begging to go to school all last year and we knew that this year would be rough if he didn't have something like school, too.  So he is going to Mrs. Pett's pre-school, Discovery Pre-School and loves it.  He really is a big boy!
